A small studio above a Covent Garden bookshop.
started in 2021 as a spiral-bound notebook passed between three friends who wanted to journal more honestly without turning their evenings into a project. After a few rounds of edits and a lot of tea, the first proper edition went to print at a family bindery in Leicestershire.
Today we design and ship three editions from a tiny studio above an independent bookshop in central London. Everything still gets reviewed in person, page by page, before it goes into a box.
Three quiet principles guide the work.
Gentleness over hustle
A journal should feel like a friendly companion, not another performance metric to optimise.
Materials that age well
Acid-free paper, cloth covers, and packaging that goes straight into the paper recycling.
Local makers, fair terms
Printed and bound in the United Kingdom, with everyone on the supply chain paid on time.
